Karl Lagerfeld Apologizes For Adele 'Fat' Remark


Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld is sewing for an apology after the remark about the weight of Adele Drew reaction of the fashion world.

"Adele would say that I'm your biggest fan," he said in a statement, according to Reuters. "Sometimes when you take a sentence from the article that changes the meaning of thought ... She is my favorite singer and I'm a big fan of hers.

"I know how it is when the press is mean to you in relation to their appearance," he continued, addressing her weight loss a decade earlier. "Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can not wait for her next album."

Lagerfeld earlier said the Paris metro paper that Adele was "too thick, but it has a beautiful face and a divine voice."

The influential designer has made other waves in the music world in recent weeks, hosting Banks Azealia Harlem rapper at his home on the show, which went viral on YouTube.

As for Adele, she's got bigger things on its head: in his first appearance since throat surgery, the singer will return to a life of its performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday. She is six trophies at the ceremony, including Album of the Year, for the best-selling "21".
