Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter Scoring Lindsay Lohan's 'First Point'


Music Daft Punk might seem better suited to science fiction than the waves hit California, but a group of Thomas Bangalter tries his hand at the beach with a new score the film.  Robot-headed manufacturer has supplied music for the "First Point" is a short film starring Lindsay Lohan as a surfer.  Five minutes a piece premieres today, June 11 at the Art Basel Fair in Switzerland. For Lohan, who is now filming the original Lifetime movie "Liz & Dick" is a different look.  "This is not fashion photography, this is not a mainstream film," director Richard Phillips told ABCNews.com.  The teaser for the film, she goes to the beach and surfs to the sound of synthesizers Moody's Bangalter.  Daft Punk reportedly already working on a new album in recent months, with electronic music icon Giorgio Moroder announcing a collaboration with the team at the International Music Summit, Ibiza. For the duo's last studio album, "Human After All", was released in 2005, followed by live music and 2010 in "Tron: Legacy" soundtrack.
