Almost two years after competing in American Idol, Casey James is ready with her debut album. Album of the same name of Casey, which comes out March 20 and has hit the country, do not call it a night. Now the U.S. TODAY has an exclusive listen to another track, part of the countdown BNA Records' for the campaign of James Casey.
Casey wrote the money with Jaren Johnston, American Bang / Black Cadillac leader, who also co-wrote Keith Urban country recently, the charts You Gonna Fly. From the funky introduction would have fit right in on an album of mid-70 Doobie Brothers to the slide full, she has the money in several guitar tracks, most of them played by Casey, who often show their skills collection during the Idol season and 2010.
Casey says he wanted to make an album that crossed musical worlds. "The music that comes out of me is the result of a million different types of music," he says, "and I just wanted to make the most honest album I could, then I hope you choose the songs that relate to more people ".
Casey had a hand in writing nine of the 11 songs on the album, and shares production credits with Chris Lindsey.
"I was only there for every second of it and very involved in it," says Casey. "It got to the end, and Chris was like, 'Man, you've put as much or more in this than I have. You must have this.' I felt it was important that people know that I just go and sing a song , maybe play a little guitar. it is so involved and intense as seriously as it could have been for me. I put everything I had into it. not have bothered me at all if it were not so, but I think it a good thing that people know. "
