Tour van formerly used by the Melvins and works of art outside of Kurt Cobain of Nirvana is currently for sale on eBay.
Known as the "Melvan" has 1972 Dodge Sportsman Royal van mural of Kiss apparently written by Cobain in a pen.
EBay Auction describes the van as "iconic." Reads: "This is a very unique part of the Melvins / Nirvana's history and certainly one of the mural on the side kind of kiss, hand drawings of Kurt Cobain with Sharpie markers shoplifted Thriftway grocery store in Montesano, Washington.".
He continues: "It was one of the first touring car Melvins and used at least one U.S. Tour Kurt had often times are known to operate the van at the local exhibitions, including two previous recordings, one signed by Roger Osborne (King Buzzo.) and the second signed by the former Melvin bassist Matt Lukin "
The auction ends on March 13th and the winner must pick up van from Montesano, Washington. Rolling stone reports sold by Ben Van Berg, who had a car since 1992. Berg told the publication: "I think Kurt's name is etched somewhere in the car, as I do not know the exact place, I know that Krist Novoselic's name is etched on behalf of Dale Crover of the Melvins is etched there ...."
He added: "It's on eBay are reserved for $ 150,000 (£ 95.414) If there is anyone with the money now that he wants to contact me, I would like to release it, $ 135.000 (£ 85.872) .."
