Sinead O'Connor: 'People were great' after plea for help


Sinead O'Connor says she feels much better after writing an alarming series of tweets in which admitted to psychiatric help, saying that "s not really ... and is in danger."

Irish singer, 45, breaking her ankle in a fall at his home in Dublin on Tuesday evening. Early Wednesday, she began posting to Twitter, saying things like, "do not know any1 psychiatrist in dublin or wicklow who could urgently ask me today?" and "and desperately need to get back on drugs today. I am in grave danger."

Contacted by telephone in Dublin later on Wednesday, O'Connor said publicly posts sought assistance received, despite the sparking round of potentially troublesome "cry for help 'celebrity-gossip stories.

"People are great, and I have a lot of numbers, emails and good," says the singer, who will release a new album next month. "I have a lot of help, and now it's all good."

"I love Twitter, Twitter, f ****** great," he says.
