Justin is just a teen idol growing up trying in the spotlight.
In terms of music, V Magazine, the 17-year-old singer says: "At the end of the day, I'm not quite adult. I'm still learning."
And he vows to do it his way.
"I'm not going to try to meet what people want me to be or to go out and start playing, people with alcohol to me. I want to do it at your own pace," said Bieber, who turns 18 on March 1.
"I do not want to start singing about things like sex, drugs and profanity. I'm in love, and maybe I'll have more to love when I'm older. But I want to be someone who is respected by all."
He knows that there are no Bielebers.
"When we approached, trying to get to where I am, people were so happy for me. They were rooting for me. Now I'm on top, everyone wants to bring me down. ... Many people say they hate Justin Bieber who do not even listen to my music. I just hate the idea of me. "
