Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) - NO.1 SONG
"Stronger (What will not kill you)", originally known as "What does not kill you (Stronger)," a song of American pop rock singer Kelly Clarkson. It was written by Jörgen Elofsson, Ali Tamposi, David Gamson, Greg Kurstin and produced by Kurstin. He was sent to mainstream radio on 17 January 2012, RCA, as the second single from Clarkson fifth album, Stronger. The song is uptempo pop rock songs, which uses live beats, pulsating synths and electric guitar. According to Clarkson, the song was inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche quote, translates to "What does not kill us makes us stronger," and his lyrics contain the theme of initiation. The song is considered the anthem for recovery after a bad relationship.
Critical reception for "Stronger (What will not kill you)" was mostly positive. Critics were impressed by the song catchy melody and strong chorus, though some of them panned as too colloquial speech. Song has a very commercial success, which is currently in eighth place on the Billboard Hot 100, and also charting in the top twenty in several counties, including Australia, Denmark, New Zealand and United Kingdom.
Songs accompanying music video was directed by Shane Drake. It contains about global flash mob, which offers a worldwide commitment to the fan. Music has received positive acceptance from critics who felt that their overall effect was exhilarating and fun. Clarkson performed "Stronger (What will not kill you)" in several concerts, especially in the first season of American singing competition The X Factor, 2011 VH1 Divas special, and on the 37th season of Saturday Night Live. Clarkson also included a list of songs in its Stronger Tour.
