Instead of the usual pert Swift pop-country, Safe & Sound is a striking and ethereal,


folk ballads, modal lovers in a dangerous period. In fact, it sounds more like something
her coworkers Civil Wars, Joy Williams and John Paul White, may be placed on their album,
Barton Hollow, especially with T Bone Burnett in the mix as co-writer/producer.
Safe & Sound is probably not an indicator of what the next album, Swift (which it is 
currently recording) will sound like it is, but does not show that they continue to extend
