It was "Ouch" day for Justin Timberlake. Shriners Hospitals for Children, sponsor of the annual celebrity golf tournament in Las Vegas, ended her relationship with him in an embarrassingly public.
"Justin is a great person," tournament chairman said Raoul Frevel Las Vegas Review Journal. Frevel coordinated POP / movie star involved with the Shriners Hospitals Justin Timberlake for Children Open in Las Vegas and his concerts appropriate, aimed at raising money for the hospital group treated well.
Frevel says he tried to Shriners former N'Sync star more involved with the hospitals and the patients they serve. "But it seemed that when the television cameras were not, go away."
So after Sunday's final in this year's tournament, which begins Sunday, Timberlake Shriners will leave.
Timberlake has helped to raise millions through his concerts during the tournament in his first four years, but he was not able to attract more media attention and lure more consistently-name players, says Frevel.
"While engaged in a round of golf, we were told by the tour needed a big name, and that's how our relationship with Justin was" Frevel said.
"Bye, bye, Justin," read the opening paragraph Review-Journal, saying the division.
Next year the tournament will be known as the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and will be part of the Tour FedEx Cup series, counting towards the playoffs in 2014.
