While many of us are still in shock over the untimely death of Whitney Houston, MTV News has paid her respect Wednesday (15 February) to "Whitney Houston. Own words," Live MTV News special guided own Sway Calloway and featured clips from an interview with the Houston debut network by 1986 years after the final interview, her career and treble downs, faith and family, and she hoped to be remembered.
MTV News assembled a collection of candid responses from fans of the stars at the Grammy Houston on Sunday and Fergie, Amber Rose, Ne-Yo and support the people all spoke about the impact of late icon was in the industry.
"Whitney was the inspiration for me since I was a little girl," Fergie said. "I used to watch the Grammys and I used to watch her walk at this stage. She would strip the songs with such confidence, and I only dreamed that I could be at this stage, as Whitney. She was a model for me. She was an icon."

"Well, we'll remember me in how you are going to remember me. Will write books, but we're going to do it, they will write that, and everyone has their own idea. Do not know, I want to be remembered as a real nice man, someone who cared and tried to do all fairly, "she said. "I do not want to go down for that woman," she added with a laugh.
Houston died at the age of 48 still-undetermined causes.
